Can I get away with ignoring RITA?
In the city I live (in Ohio) I RITA taxes. I rent, work in a different city. I have no children, Sevices and do not use any city (I'm rarely home as I go to school in another city) sent me a RITA tax form in 2003 – and never heard from then. It seems that no punitive capacity / resources that the Federal Reserve and the State do, so I find myself thinking ——– F *** RITA. I do not care if it is moral or ethical problem, I only care if Rita can do nothing about it.
As someone who lives in Ohio, works in a city with taxes Rita and no taxes for life, I hear you loud and clear. It may be difficult for Rita (the Regional Authority of income tax for those who do not live here) to find them owe money. However, they lack any authority if they catch you, and may attach wages or seize property as the IRS and the state can. Unfortunately, I've seen it happen. Laws state that you have to submit the declaration if you live and / or working in the city. But Rita has been known to send people who do not owe tax forms. Do you really live within the city limits? If not, you are not required to submit. If you are required to submit, it is actually better to go ahead and get it over with. If the file returns, and ask that you work with payments is likely to be more lienient that if you get caught on the road. There are cross-checks on these things. Even if you do not use city services, more likely to have filed a federal return with your address. And the return of the state. And a FAFSA … can see where I'm going with this. They know they live there, and eventually they are going to discover that they are not paying taxes. If I were you, I'd take my things in a tax services office and get help. Sisnce not know your income or the city (and I do not recommend that you give a stranger online), I can not give more than general information. But I know it is still possible that you are not required to submit, and that Pro Might be able to cut their taxes with adjustments or credits allowed in some cities, even before you submit. With my company, we will review with you, and if you do not have to, or choose not to do his statement, not charge you, so you can get a great deal of specific information without having to pay anything. Let me know if I can be more help
