The federal system of income tax was established to finance our government. None of us enjoys having to pay the government any money from our hard cattle, however, if we are to protect our country and pay all social assistance programs created by our government, then we have to. However, did you ever considered whether the tax system we use is actually a fair system? Let's look at how the system is configured.
Originally, when the Constitution was written the founder had stipulated that any income tax should be based and equally divided among each state's population. However, this confronted the larger states and smaller states against each other and none of them could settle in what was a fair amount. Thus, Congress amended the Constitution so they can eliminate the state's population when calculating how to get the tax of individuals.
Now we have a modern code tax day that requires a degree in mathematics, even be able to calculate their taxes correctly. Congress has made tax laws so complex that the person average has to go to a tax preparer to file their taxes every year. Currently the tax in our country works this way. You work and the government has its "fair" tax directly from your paycheck so you never get to see the money. This was really a brilliant idea by the government because if ever have the money, then no miss.
Before it was taken directly from your paycheck, they had to write a check from the government at the end of the year. When you actually have the money lose when you write the check and the politician kept spending in check, because complaints were heard loud when the checks were written. Now we have an income level tax system that says more to do but you will pay in taxes.
The "working poor" in our country do not pay taxes federal. At the end of the year fall into that class if you get every penny you paid back as a refund check to the IRS. If you consider middle class, then you will pay 15% to 35% of its revenue after it has released its allowable deductions. These deductions are for you, your spouse and children. It may also be able to detail lower the level of income you pay taxes on.
Statistics show that 75% of the country's income tax only income from 1% of the population. This percentage of the population makes over $ 200,000 per year through their own personal income or if you are the owner of a S corporation (small business) that makes a big profit. So if our federal system of income tax is fair or not will be debated in the coming years and since our country needs money to function, will never be eliminated.
